Lookbook outfit #6 'Fear and loathing'

Hello lovely followers,

This week I'll be posting a little bit earlier because this weekend I will be going to Lady Gaga's BORN THIS WAY BALL in Antwerp, Belgium. I'm so excited and I will definitely be posting something about it next week.

Now, let's talk about my 6th outfit for Lookbook. These are my favourite studded shorts by New Look, which you have probably seen before. The tights are by a Dutch store, V&D. Because the tights are printed I needed a kind of basic top, so I picked a black one by Miss Selfridge, together with my favourite and VERY comfortable boots by Topshop and a Primark cross necklace. What do you think?

Lana Del Rey for H&M

Elizabeth Grant, a.k.a Lana Del Rey has graced the cover of Vogue, inspired a best-selling Mulberry handbag and been portrayed by top photographers. Yet, just two years ago, nobody knew who this American singer/songwriter was. On 1 July 2011, a sweet, melancholic clip set to a sad song about passionate love entitled Video Games landed on YouTube. Lana edited the pictures of old Hollywood and herself singing herself, and it soon became a huge success. Now she's the star of H&M's latest campaign.

The campaign is shot by the Dutch fashion duo Inez van Lamsweerde and her husband Vinoodh Matadin, who have also been shooting artists like Lady Gaga and Björk. The collection is inspired by the sixties and contains a lot of pastel shades, but also burgundy, mint, white and even some floral prints. There are a lot of comfortable sweaters, cute peplums and huge vintage-looking earrings, which is why I am totally in love with this collection.

Lookbook #5 'Am I glamorous, tell me, am I glamorous?'

Hey guys!

As you can see, my blog has a new layout. I personally really love it, a lot. But it's all about what you guys think, so could you tell me what you like and dislike about this new layout? Thanks.

The look I'm showing you today is the last look I've made on my trip to Italy, so probably one of the last summer looks you will be seeing this year. Gonna miss summer :( However, I found this beautiful printed maxi dress at Primark. I've always wanted a maxi dress, but I thought it might not look good on me because I'm too young for it or it just wouldn't fit well. I was so wrong, I love this dress, it fits perfectly and it's amazing to wear on a day to the beach, but you can also wear it on a regular school day paired with a denim jacket to dress it down a bit. It's a very colourful dress so I paired it with a purple Forever 21 belt (which actually belongs to the F21 dipped hem skirt), a ring that I bought at a dollar store and sandals by Primark. The nail polish you can see on this pictures is a colour by MI-NY, called Rockabilly. (See My nail polish collection)

Cute & comfortable sweaters

Dear readers,

Autum's about to start and it's getting really cold. So what to wear? Even though it's cold outside, you still want to look great, not boring. My answer is: cute and comfortable sweaters! You can get all kinds of sweaters: from animal prints to heart prints and from studs to sequins. I have been searching for 5 cute sweaters with all different kinds of prints and embellishments. Enjoy!

From left to right:

Zigzag knit jumper by Boutique, Topshop
What I love about this sweater is that you can wear it with all kinds of bright colours to make it more cheerful, but you can also wear it with leather and jeans for a more strong look.

Maison Scotch Printed Knitted Jumper, via Asos
My favourite trend this year was definetly the tribal print, so I love the print on this sweater.

- Reverse Studded Shoulder Knit Jumper, via Asos
I'm totally obsessed with studs so I really love this sweater. I also really like the shoulder pads and of course the colour!

- All over owl jumper, Miss Selfridge
If you want to look cute, why not go for an animal print? Like this one, with cute little owls on it. I LIKE!

Dark Red Twist Knit Heart Jumper, New Look
This one's a bit more simple but still you can wear it with a lot of different things and maroon/wine is a big trend this fall.

Thanks a lot for reading. Which one is your favourite sweater?
I hope you had a good time reading it and I'll see you next time!

Lookbook Outfit #4 'Let's get out of this town, baby we're on fire'

Hey everyone (:

The look I will be showing you today is created in Como as well. First, these white jeans shorts are my favourite shorts by Topshop. I paired a Primark top with it and because I love colour I paired Pink H&M flats with it. Last but not least, the clutch. This beautiful clutch was my grandma's and I love it so much.

Thanks for reading guys!

My 5 favourite perfumes

Dear readers,
Today I will be showing you 5 of my favourite perfumes. I will go from the 5th to my favourite perfume - number 1. However, this doesn't mean the 5th one smells bad, these are still my favourite perfumes. I hope you'll enjoy!

5. Boss - Boss Orange

"BOSS Orange Woman opens with an uplifting burst of sweet apples, a subtle and light-hearted middle note of white flowers but with a soulful base of creamy vanilla and olive woods. Passionate and soulful, BOSS Orange Woman fully embodies the essence of today's dynamic and independent woman."

This fragrance belongs to my favourites because it's so fruity and gives me a summer feeling. It's so light and fresh!

4. Zara - Fruity

-No description-

This perfume is so sweet and fruity, I really love the smell of it. It's a low budget product too, so it's a really good alternative to designer perfumes.

3. Yves Saint Laurent - Parisienne

"Parisienne, the fragrance of ultra femininity, ultra sensuality. A grand floral with a woody structure, luminous even in its mystery. Top notes of cranberry and blackberry are reinforced by the middle notes of Otto Rose and Violet, and the bottom notes of Vanilla. Musk and Cashmeran."

Parisienne feels bright and cheerful. I actually love the smell of Parisienne so much that I don't even dare to use it many times - I'm trying to only use it when I go to parties.

2. Valentino - Valentina

"With attitude, sophistication and unexpected characteristics, the bouquet of Valentina blends an irreverent Italian floral oriental in which each facet reveals a paradox. Calabrian bergamot is a hymn to exuberance and freshness, shaken up by the insolence of white Alba truffles. In their trail, jasmine, Amalfi orange blossom and tuberose celebrate radiant beauty, while being offset by the rebellious delight of wild strawberries. Finally, the nobility of cedar is seduced by the captivating sensuality of amber... Valentina marks out a solar, unexpected trail, classic yet modern."

I am so in love with Valentina. Everytime I wear Valentina, everyone tells me I smell wonderful. It smells so special, I actually can't really describe it. I'm so happy with this one, I definetly recommend you.

1. Lady Gaga - FAME

"Lady Gaga Fame is the first ever black Eau de Parfum that sprays clear and becomes invisible once airborne. The fragrance has a unique structure called the "push-pull technology," where the ingredients interact together to highlight different olfactive aspects of each note at the same time, without any hierarchy. The scent is built around three main accords: dark, sensual and light. The dark accord was inspired by Belladonna, the deadly nightshade possessed by haunted beauties since the 18th century. From this darkness, the fragrance evolves to a sensual accord of opulence, a fusion of dripping honey, saffron and apricot nectar. And lastly, the light accord whispers magnificence. The rich floral layer of crushed Tiger Orchid and Jasmine Sambac embodies timeless beauty. The accords work together to create a fragrance of floral and fruity elements, with the star ingredient inspired by Belladonna leveling out the whole fragrance and giving Lady Gaga Fame its signature as a scent."

And then, my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE - Lady Gaga FAME. How can this not be my favourite? First of all, my idol created it. Secondly, it smells so special that I keep smelling it over and over again, trying to find out what's in it. It actually reminds me of Valentina, too, which might be the reason I love Fame so much. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I hope you enjoyed this weekend's posts. Have a nice week, and I'll see you next weekend!

Lookbook Outfit #3 'Como - Where is George Clooney?'

Hi guys!

Today I will be showing you a look which I created when I was in Como, Italy. First of all, these are my studded shorts by New Look. I'm so in love with them! I had been looking for studded shorts for a very long time, and then I found this one. There are not too many studs on it - less is more! - so I can create different kinds of looks. That day, I went for a kind of cute look, with this top and flats by Zara. To finish the look, there is the dusty pink Mango clutch.

So, this was my third look for lookbook. Please leave a comment below to tell me what you think, I'm curious (: Don't forget to come back later today to read my second post for this weekend!

Sparkling in sequins

Sequins - We never really seem to get tired of them. But how to wear sequins without being over the top? Today I will be giving you some tips to rock your sequins and show some ways to wear them.

How to wear your sequins:
  • Less is more - when wearing sequins, make sure you're only wearing one sequined piece. As with most trends, overdoing is a huge don't - after all, you don't want to look like a disco ball.
  • Be careful with accessories -  the sequins really need to be the star of the outfit.
  • Wearing sequins at daytime - the easiest way to wear sequins at daytime is to dress it down a bit, by using basic items or denim and knits.
  • Wearing sequins at nighttime - save your short sequined dress for night time, but still you need to dress it down. Don't wear any sequined heels or a sequined clutch with it, it would be a shame.
  • Look for simple silhouettes - like t-shirts, pencil skirts and halters which are accented with or covered in sequins.

If you need some inspiration, here is a way to wear a gold sequin biker jacket: (click to enlarge)

Gold Sequin Biker Jacket, River Island
Double Triangle Racerback by Illustrated People, Topshop
G-Star Washed Arc 3d Tapered Jeans, Via Asos
Power Gold Trim Boots, Topshop
Black Faux Snake Front Clutch, Miss Selfridge

I hope these tips helped you, I hope you got some inspiration, and above all, I really hoped you like it. Please leave a comment below, I would really appreciate that.

I'll see you next week!

Lookbook Outfit #2 'Elba'

Hey everyone! ♥

It's weekend again, which means I will be posting again. Today I'm going to show you the second look that I created for lookbook. I hope you guys like it.

This picture is taken during my holiday in Tuscany, Italy. That day we went to the island Elba by boat. It was very windy that day, especially along the coast so it was a perfect day to take some beautiful pictures. This look is particularly created because of the skirt. I wanted a dipped hem skirt so bad, I think they're gorgeous and I just really needed to find the perfect one. After a few months and after fitting a lot of skirts, I found this pleated fuchsia dipped hem skirt by Forever 21. It was just perfect because it's exactly what I wanted. To give this look a summer feeling, I matched the skirt with a floral top by Primark. To keep it simple, I chose to wear sandals, these are by New Look.

This was my second look for Lookbook. Please leave a comment below to let me know what you think. Tomorrow I'll be posting the second post for this weekend, so don't forget to come back!
