Fall/Winter Photoshoot Part 4 | Lookbook Outfit #14 'I've been out on that open road'

Hey guys, I'm back!

I've been to England last week with my class and it was an amazing week. We went to Redcar and we went to a school where we met so many amazing people! However, now I'm back home and tomorrow I'll have to go back to school. :( But first I'm showing you part 4 of the fall/winter photoshoot and I'll make sure that there'll be a shoplog of England on my blog tomorrow!

So, some days all you want to wear is a warm and comfortable sweater, and this one is so pretty! It's a beautiful coral coloured cable knit sweater and it keeps you so warm. I wore this with my light blue jeans and my favourite boots. This is kind of a basic look, so there's not much to say about it to be honest, but it's a simple look for when you're in a hurry or when you're not really in the mood to wear something very special.

Light blue jeans | Zara
Boots | Topshop

I hope you liked the look and the pictures. and I'll see you guys tomorrow!

The 'Liebster Award' Tag

The Liebster award is something I found out about a few weeks ago. It's a tag, a quite personal one, as there are 11 questions about yourself you have to answer. The Liebster Award is a new way to discover new and upcoming blogs. To me, it seems like a lot of fun and as I was blogging a bit today, I found out I had been nominated by Carmen. I decided to answer all of these questions in a post. I really hope you like reading this random stuff about me! :)

Before I start, here are the rules of the Liebster Award:
- Mention the blogger that nominated you.
- Answer the questions the blogger asked you.
- Think of 11 questions for the bloggers you nominate for the award yourself.
- Let the nominees know that they're nominated.

How many time do you spend on your blog?
It's hard to say how much time I actually spend on my blog. It really depends on how much homework I have and it also depends on what kind of post I'm making. But I would say that creating an outfit for lookbook, photographing it, uploading it and writing something with it takes 2 hours each week. Things like trends where I make collages usually take an hour and with reviews it also depends on what I'm doing. So I would say I spend 4 hours a week on my blog.

What do you like the most about blogging?
What I like the most about blogging is that I can show you guys what I like to wear, and what I bought and that you can tell me what you think about it as well. What I also like is that I can give reviews so you know what to buy and what you better not buy and I like giving everyone tips on fashion.

What would you like to accomplish in your life?
There is a lot that I would like to accomplish in life, but there are three main things that I would like to do. The first thing is that I want to fight for gay rights and I want to fight against bullying. I think equality and acceptance is very important and I want to be able to help people. The second thing is that I want to achieve something in fashion. I have always loved fashion and my biggest dream is to become a fashion designer. Still, I'm afraid that I won't be good enough as a designer because of a lack of inspiration, but I'm never giving up on my dreams. The third thing is that I want to become a model. I know it's a hard thing to accomplish and I know that a lot of other girls want this too, but I have just always dreamt about being on the cover of magazines and walking runway shows.

(Dennis Diem AFW 2013)

Do you have a special memory, and if you do, which one?
I have a lot of special memories, but I'm telling you the most recent one, which is the Born This Way Ball. As you probably already know I'm a huge fan of Lady Gaga, and last September I went to the Born This Way Ball with my mother and one of my best friends, Marc, who is also a huge Lady Gaga fan and I met him because of Gaga. We were very close to the stage and I had a wonderful time. She's such a great singer, the stage was amazing and so were the outfits. So yeah, this is a really special memory to me.

Which person would you want to be, and why?
This is such a hard question, because there are so many people that I absolutely adore and look up to. But if I had to choose, I think I'd choose to be Lana Del Rey. Not only because she's a beautiful person and I am jealous of her gorgeous hair and every piece of clothing she owns, but also because she's just different than other artists. Her voice is calm yet powerful and her appearance is very mysterious, which keeps people interested.

Which piece of clothing would you never  throw away?
I'm very attached to all of my clothes and don't really throw away stuff very often, because you never know if something is useful again a few years later. However, I do throw away stuff when it doesn't fit anymore. But there's one thing that I'd never, ever throw away, and that's my sequined biker jacket by Rare London. I love this jacket so much and I think I'd cry for days if I ever had to throw it away, haha :(

Who is your favourite designer?
I think each and every designer is special in their own way. But I'd have to say that my favourite designer of all time is Alexander McQueen. He was such an incredible designer and he kept impressing me with all of his collections.

Which trend would you want to disappear as soon as possible?
Well, I'd have to say creepers. I can't help it, but I just absolutely hate these shoes.

Which item is on top of your wishlist?
That would definitely be a parka with leather sleeves. I've seen a lot of parka's on other blogs and Lookbook lately, and I just really want one too because they seem very comfortable. I really want a more fitted one, because I'm very tiny and most parka's are too big for me, even the smallest size and I just want it to have leather sleeves, because of the contrast.

'

Never wearing make-up again or a bad hair day every day?
I would say never wearing make-up again. I don't wear a lot of make-up anyway, just some eyeliner and mascara, and I wouldn't mind wearing no make-up to be honest. And I don't think I could handle a bad hair day every day!

Which make-up product would you advise everyone to buy?
You may have read that lately I've been obsessed with coloured lip balms, and I just love them because it's a bit more wearable than a bright lipstick, plus it makes your lips really soft. My absolute favourite is Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm by NYC. You can get them in 4 different colours and they smell SOOO GOOOOOD.

My questions for the bloggers that I nominate:
-Why did you start blogging?
-What is your favourite perfume?
-What is your favourite accessory?
-What do you prefer: shopping online or in real life?
-If you could choose one city to visit in this world, which city would you choose?
-Which person would you want to meet?
-What is your dream job?
-What do you prefer: prints or solid colours?
-Which colour would you want to dye your hair?
-If you were forced to get a tattoo, what would it be?
-How would you describe your style in 3 words?

The bloggers that I nominate:
-Carmen: http://myownfashiontale.blogspot.nl/
-Lisa: http://the-perfect-things.blogspot.nl/
-Nicolien: http://thegirlwiththeheels.blogspot.nl/
-Amber: http://bonjourmadameparis.blogspot.nl/
-Marta: http://heart-sease.blogspot.nl/
-Bo: http://stuffbybo.blogspot.nl/

I really hope you guys liked reading this and I hope that this post wasn't too long. I'd like to thank Carmen once more for nominating me, I think it's really sweet!

Lots of love,
Sanne

Fall/Winter Photoshoot Part 3 | Lookbook Outfit #13 'Motivated by the lack of doubt'

Hello my sweet followers!

Today it's time to show you part 3 of the photoshoot. You may know I really like pretty dresses and high heels, but some days you just want to feel comfortable, like when you're wearing your PJ's. I created a look that felt just like I was wearing my PJ's! These jeans may seem really tight, but they are so comfortable because they're elastic and they have a print on them, which makes them just a little more special than simple blue jeans. I'm also wearing a basic black top and a green shirt with some golden studs on the collar and pockets. To continue the comfy look I chose to wear my favourite boots with them and these supercute socks which match the print on the jeans.

2012: Just one more time

Hello lovely fashion addicts!

The last few days I've been ill so I've spent my time reading a lot of ELLE's from last year, which brought me to the idea of looking back on last year's trends. It might be late, but how can you say goodbye to 2012 without looking back on all the good stuff? And they say late is better than never. Right?

STUDDED EVERYTHING
Studs have always been popular, but let's be honest, since last year every bag, jacket or shoe had studs on it. And I actually really love studs, because they can make a girly look a little stronger or tougher. I absolutely adore this look, and I actually have the belt too, I loooove it!

Look by Lina Tesch on http://lookbook.nu/look/3954778-beauty-is-not-in-the-face-beauty-is-a-light-in-the-heart

EYE OF THE TIGER
As I was flipping through some ELLE's I kept seeing these Kenzo sweaters with tigers on them, and I remembered seeing them on a lot of Fashion Week pictures too. I really, really like these sweaters a lot as you can create a lot of different styles with them and I think that they definitely deserve to be remembered in this little review.

Look by Andy Torres on http://lookbook.nu/look/4002630-GREEN-LANTERN

OUTER SPACE
Galaxy print is something we've been seeing A LOT last year. There were some great galaxy shirts, skirts, dresses and more, but I think that the Galaxy leggings were the most popular of them all. And guess what, I adore them too, because Galaxy print is great to wear with a big variety of colours.

GLAMOUFLAGE
A lot of Camouflage jackets have been worn last year, but mostly it was being used to stand out, not being camouflaged. And don't you just love how this burgundy skirt matches with the Camouflage? Oh I do, a lot!

Look by Stephanie D. http://lookbook.nu/look/4417563-Girls-in-Camouflage

EVERY TEAR IS A WATERFALL
Waterfall or Dipped Hem skirts were also seen a lot last year and are also something I've been obsessed with myself. I spent all summer searching for a perfect dipped hem skirt in a great colour. Now I have two :) I really love them because they are a bit unusual (I love unusual!) and elegant and they make your legs look longer.

So I really hope you guys enjoyed looking back on this great year full of pretty skirts and sweaters and I hope to see you guys next time on my blog (:

Fall/Winter Photoshoot, Part 2 | Lookbook Outfit #12 'Pretty in Peplum'

Dear readers,

First of all, I'd like to say a happy new year to everyone! May all of your wishes come true this year, and I hope you're looking forward to reading more of my posts this year (: ( I know I'm late, I planned on posting this earlier but my blogger account wouldn't work. I'm sorry for that!)

Today, I'm showing you part two of the photoshoot I did with my best friend. For part 2 I was wearing my peplum dress, which I bought in London. I think peplum is a great way to look chic without putting a lot of time into your outfit, for example when you're in a hurry. The black and white form a great contrast with the yellow belt and the red lipstick. I didn't add any accessories because you know what I'm gonna say: less is more. Throw in some black high heels and you're finished.

Fall/Winter photoshoot, Part 1 | Lookbook Outfit #11 'Live fast. Die young. Be wild. Have fun.'

Hey everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't been posting anything the last few weeks. It's just that we had a test week, and after the test week was over and I could finally get some rest, Christmas started, so I was kinda busy. (And I think you guys were busy too ) However, from now on I'll be posting 2 posts again every weekend, and as we have holidays, I might even post more :).

Last month, I told you guys that my best friend and I did a little photoshoot consisting of 6 outfits and I showed you a little preview. I'm showing you the photoshoot in 6 parts - in every part I will describe one outfit, which has also been posted on Lookbook. The difference between these posts and other outfit posts is that in these posts I will show you some more pictures. I really hope you like every outfit and I hope you enjoy watching the pictures!

Lately, a lot of stores have been selling printed leggings. I'm totally in love with printed leggings, and I bought this one with citylights on them. However, it might be too cold to wear leggings in winter so I wore a knitted dip-dye sweater with the leggings. To make the look a bit more edgy I wore my black leather boots and just one accessory: a silver necklace.

Dip-dye cable jumper | Topshop
Printed leggings | Primark Limited Edition

Review: Primark Nail Wraps

Hey everyone!

Today I decided to try Primark's nail wraps, because christmas is coming and they are very sparkly and contain a lot of different colours, so they would fit with most of my outfits. I bought them in London two months ago, for only £1.

I started with shaping my nails, pushing back the cuticles and lightly buffed my nails to even the surface. Then I used some nail polish remover to clean my nails. So, step one is to choose the best size foil for each nail, and if needed, you should cut little pieces of it to make sure it fits your nail. Then you should warm the strip a bit by rubbing, and then peel it off and apply it to the nail. The rounded edge should be close to the cuticle. Then you should use a file to remove excess, and then you're done!

So while making some pictures and uploading them and while typing this, the edges already start to release and on some nails the nail wraps even start chipping away. I just know that when I wake up tomorrow, these nail wraps will sticking in my hair. But as they were only £1, I didn't expect much from these nail wraps.

They look really cute, but if you plan on buying them, I wouldn't do it if I were you.

New in - Week 48

Sometimes all you really need to cheer up a bit is some NEW clothes and accessories. A test week is coming next week, in which we have to do 11 tests, which is really depressing. So guess what? My friends and I needed something to cheer us all up so we went shopping last week. What's better than buying stuff you don't really need but makes you happy? Nothing, really.

"Whoever said money can't buy happiness, simply didn't know where to go shopping" - Bo Derek

So, first this beautiful multi-coloured ring. One of my friends was searching for a bag at Mango, and when we went to the accessories part, this ring immediately caught my eye. I love the different colours which make the ring easy to wear with a lot of different items. Even better, it was on sale for only 3 euros!

My friends and I decided to buy gifts for eachother, so we all had to buy a gift for one us, and we would unwrap them together that evening. My best friend Veerle bought this ring by Bershka for me, which is very smart, because I recently lost my cross ring, and this one is even prettier! Thanks Veerle! ♥

I've been really obsessed with coloured lip balms lately. At my age I think it's better to wear a coloured lip balm to school, because it's less bright, and they take care of your lips as well. So I bought this one at Hema (a Dutch store) , because I had read about this on some beauty blogs and everyone was very positive about it.

You might know I really love peplum. I bought a peplum dress in London, but I really wanted a peplum skirt because it's easier to make more outfits with a skirt. So I found this one at Bershka, which I think has a really cute colour and I just love the golden zipper. (I love little details!)

In London I bought a printed legging (click here for the shoplog) and I only had one sweater to wear with it that actually matched, so I wanted a longer black top so that I could wear it with more different items. I found this one at Bershka. It has cute little mirrors on it and the back is longer and transparent.

Oh my god. Don't you just feel really happy when you look at these shoes? Don't worry, I'm not going to wear this to school. I bought these for a photoshoot my friend and I will be doing in a few weeks, and I might as well wear them to parties. (: I bought them at a really cheap store and all of my friends bought a pair of heels too, just because they were so pretty!

Last but not least, I bought these dark blue gloves with cute little bows on them.

That's it! I really hope you liked everything and I would appreciate it if you'd leave a comment and tell me which one's your favourite! Thanks for reading,

Xoxo

Chloe Jade Green

When checking my Facebook today, I came across Topshop's Facebook page. They had just posted something about Chloe Jade Green. so I took a look at the links, did some research and I just knew I had to show you guys.

'Chloe has always loved fashion – from experimenting with her mother’s wardrobe as a child to sitting on the front rows at some of the biggest and best catwalk shows around the world. Creating a collection is something Chloe has always aspired to do and May 2012 saw the launch of her brand; CJG and debut collection of shoes.'

So since yesterday, Topshop is actually selling CJG's shoes. There's a lot of variety in the collection: from biker boots to dainty ballerina flats. The suedes and studs mix a girly style with an element of rock. Here are some of my favourites:

Don't you just love these boots? They are so easy to wear with a lot of outfits and I must say, I would love to own a pair of these. Plus they are 100% leather!
- Black Lily Biker Boots by CJG, € 195,00, Topshop

A pair of stunning suede ankle boots with a platform and golden studs. I love them so much. On this picture you can also see Chloe's signature green "Charms" sole.
- Shadow Bolt Ankle Boots by CJG, € 215,00, Topshop

To me, wedges are the most comfortable kind of heels, and I just immediately fell in love with these. They are made of black suede and have Chloe's "Charms" print on the wedge heels.
- Thunder Lace Wedge Courts by CJG, € 169,00, Topshop

Normally I'm not really keen on knee-high boots, but to be honest, these boots take my breath away. These are leather boots with some suede details and a wedge. I'm in love.
- Winters Knight Wedge Boots by CJG, € 254,00, Topshop

So, what do you think? Are you in love with these shoes as much as I am?
For the total collection at Topshop, click here and for more information you can click here to go to CJG's website.

Today's Outfit: 14th of November (Lookbook Outfit #15: 'Done my hair up real big beauty queen style')

Dear followers,
Today I wanted to create a new outfit, something that matched the vintage-like earrings I bought in London (Forever 21).

The thing I definitely wanted  to wear was this white blouse (Primark), which you can button up totally so that you get a cute collar. The earrings have a very light pink colour, so what I wanted to do is match them with some pastel shades, like my mint green blazer (Zara) and my studded boots (Zara). I didn't think dark blue jeans would look nice with these pastel shades, so I chose this light coloured jeans (Zara), which (for me) are perfect for this look.

To finish off the look I used a donut bun for my hair (Primark) and a winged eyeliner, as usual.

I really hope you like the outfit. Please leave a comment below and don't forget to follow my blog!

Lookbook Outfit #10 'I sing the body electric'

Hey guys!

Today I'm showing you my 10th look for Lookbook. When thinking of a new outfit, including the Gaga sweater I bought at the Born This Way Ball, the first thing I looked at were the colours you can find in the sweater. This is what I created.

My favourite dress by Topshop happened to be a perfect match with my Gaga sweater, because the green-ish colour is in the sweater and it looks great with the purple you can find in the sweater too. I wore the sweater over the dress, so that it looked like I had just bought a new skirt. (: I just paired this with black tights by Topshop and black boots which are actually my mother's. Last but not least, the only accessory the outfit actually needed was the wristband of the Monster Pit, the one I got at the BTW Ball.

Once again, thanks a lot for reading and don't forget to leave a comment and follow my blog! I would really appreciate that.

The Little Black Jacket by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfield

"There are clothes which keep rejuvenating themselves instead of getting worn out" - Roberto Juarroz

During my trip to London, my parents and I went to Saatchi Gallery. I was so lucky, because The Little Black Jacket exhibition by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfield had just started!

It's a photographic exhibition dedicated to Karl Lagerfeld's latest book, 'The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL's classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld'. In this exhibition you can experience the versatility and timelessness of Chanel's Little Black Jacket. The exhibition consists of 113 photographs by Karl Lagerfeld, and they are all pictures friends of the House, all wearing the jacket in a different way.

Freja Beha Erichsen

Vanessa Paradis

Anna Wintour

The exhibition has already been in Tokyo, New York, Talpei and Hong Kong, and if you're still interested you can find it in London, Moscow and Sidney. The last two exhibitions, starting in November, are in Paris and Berlin.

I have to tell you, I absolutely loved it and I was so impressed. I loved each and every picture. For more information: http://thelittleblackjacket.chanel.com/

Lookbook Outfit #9 'I wanted to get out of here, but every time I reappear'

Hello lovely readers,

This is my 9th look for Lookbook. I created this look a few weeks before we went to London, and I just felt like I had nothing left to wear. My mother just bought a new sweater and I was totally in love with it, and after begging my mother for days, she finally let me wear it! In my head I had already painted a picture of what I wanted to wear it with. Even though the sweater is like 2 sizes too big, I think it's okay when a sweater doesn't fit perfectly, and after all, oversized sweaters are never wrong!

It's a dark blue sweater by Zara, with sequins in all kinds of colours knitted into it, which makes it easy to wear it with a lot of different colours. However, I wanted to wear a blouse with a cute collar underneath the sweater because I think that it looks super cute, plus layering is very smart in fall and winter to keep yourself warm. So I chose this white blouse by Primark. For a little more colour I wore my Topshop Moto jeans in the colour Wine. I paired this with some heeled boots by H&M, and because I didn't want it to become a very dark look, I chose to take a brown H&M bag with me. No jewelry for me today, because you have to remember, sometimes less is more.

Please leave a comment below to let me know what you think!
